4th Quarter

Dates: Feb. 15 – Apr. 11

Nationally televised games: Los Angeles Lakers (Feb. 15), Houston Rockets (Feb. 23), Sacramento Kings (Feb. 26), Portland Trail Blazers (Mar. 1), Utah Jazz (Mar. 2), Boston Celtics (Mar. 8), Golden State Warriors (Mar. 11), Washington Wizards (Mar. 13), San Antonio Spurs (Mar. 17), Houston Rockets (Mar. 18), Denver Nuggets (Apr. 5), Los Angeles Lakers (Apr. 6)

The last quarter of the Wolves season is very important. Since Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins have never appeared in the playoffs, it is imperative that they learn how to get in playoff form late in the season. Having a guy like Jimmy Butler who has been there will help with that.

Television stars late in the season

The Wolves play eight nationally televised games in a row during the fourth quarter of the season. Hopefully they are in a good position for the playoffs, because that is an eight-game stretch where they face Portland, Utah, Boston, Golden State, Washington, San Antonio and Houston.

It is a great setup for the Wolves to play so many playoff-caliber teams late in the year as the playoffs approach. This allows them to make adjustments and prepare for potential playoff matchups as the playoffs approach.

Projected quarter record: 13-9

Final projected record: 51-31

The Minnesota Timberwolves have an opportunity to make the playoffs and take that next step fans have been waiting for. They already have the national spotlight with 25 nationally televised games scheduled for this upcoming season. Now all they have left to do is play each game one at a time and not get ahead of themselves based on the hype around the team.
