5. DeMarcus Cousins (C) — No. 5 Pick in 2010 NBA Draft

Career stats (with the Kings):  470 GP, 21.1 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 3 APG, 1.4 SPG, 1.2 BPG, 3.5 TOV, 45.9 FG%, 32.2 3P%, 73.4 FT%

There are many words to describe DeMarcus Cousins’ tenure with the Kings, but it’s undeniable that he was one of the most productive players in the franchise’s history.

Throughout his seven and a half years in Sacramento, Cousins displayed a range of offensive skills rarely seen from a player of his size — as well as position.

While Cousins was a figure to rally around for Kings fans throughout a tumultuous time in the team’s history, he obviously was not without his flaws either. Cousins’ behavioral issues on and off the court became regular fodder for discussion of whether he was the root of the team’s problems or was merely a symptom of the team’s overall dysfunction from all levels of the organization.

Despite being a fixture in trade rumors across multiple seasons, Cousins’ name was rising through the team’s record books in most offensive statistical categories the longer he stayed with the Kings.

However, Cousins’ time in Sacramento came to an abrupt end midway through last season when the team dealt him to the Pelicans, bringing a close to an eventful, yet disappointing chapter in the team’s history.
