Boasting a long and distinguished history in many forms, we take a look back and rank the top 10 draft picks in the history of the Sacramento Kings.

For nearly 70 years, the franchise known as the Sacramento Kings have been an institution for NBA basketball.

Of course, the Kings, as we now know them, have only existed for almost half of that time as they have previously called Rochester, New York, Cincinnati, Ohio, Kansas City, Missouri and Omaha, Nebraska home before finally relocating to Sacramento before the 1985-86 season.

Due to their many stops across the country and different iterations as a team, the Kings carry a unique history that’s arguably unlike any other team that currently stands in today’s NBA (with the Atlanta Hawks being a possible lone exception to that).

With that, many standout players have been drafted by the Kings/Royals organization over the many years, whether they grew to become fan favorites, All-Star players or in some rare cases, players that are synonymous with the NBA game itself.

While this list will have more of a focus on the players that have played during the Sacramento era, we will also take a look at the players that have graced this franchise in previous iterations.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the 10 best draft picks in the history of the Sacramento Kings.
