A look at five potential landing spots for Dwyane Wade should he and the Chicago Bulls agree to a buyout.

When the Chicago Bulls signed Dwyane Wade to a two-year deal worth $47.5 million a little over a year ago, it was one of the more surprising headlines during the 2016 offseason. After all, how could the hometown kid returning to his roots not make for a good story, right?

Fast forward to the present, it seems as if Wade’s stay in the Windy City could be short-lived. According to ESPN‘s Nick Friedell, a buyout could be in the works between the two sides, largely because Wade doesn’t want to be part of the team’s rebuild:

"“Dwyane Wade isn’t expected to be long for the organization’s future, as nobody would be surprised if he decided not to stick around for a season in the tank and instead chooses to reach a buyout agreement at some point in the next few months.”"

Whether or not a buyout is imminent remains to be seen. After all, general manager John Paxson did mention this option would only come into play if it was beneficial for the organization.

On the other side of the coin, no one predicted that the Bulls would trade away a three-time All-Star for a trio of players who can be best labeled as question marks at this point in time.

Furthermore, the Bulls opted not to re-sign Rajon Rondo, even though the point guards on the roster are considered a work in progress (to put it nicely).

That being said, if Wade and the Bulls do in fact reach an agreement on a buyout, here is a list of potential destinations that may be of interest to the three-time champion and 12-time All-Star.
