Shooting Guard: Ray Allen

Ray Allen did not play many seasons with the SuperSonics, but he had arguably the best seasons of his career while in Seattle. His numbers while a member of the SuperSonics are the best of any of his stops, which is what lands him on this lineup.

Allen was one of the greatest shooters we have seen in the NBA. He had unlimited range but was much more than just a shooter. In his five seasons with the SuperSonics, Allen averaged 24.6 points per game on 44 percent shooting from the field and 38.6 percent from deep. He also made the most of his trips to the foul line, making 89.9 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe.

Allen averaged at least 23 points per game in every season with the SuperSonics. In addition to the strong scoring numbers, Allen also averaged 4.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, putting up career highs in each category during his time with Seattle. He also averaged 1.3 steals per game.

Allen was a 10-time All-Star, making the game every season he was with the SuperSonics. He was also named to an All-NBA team twice, making the Third Team for the 2000-01 season and the Second Team for the 2004-05 season.

While Allen’s career in Seattle wasn’t very lengthy, he played very well. He is fourth in franchise history in 3-pointers made and third in points per game. His offensive box plus/minus is also highest in franchise history.
