The Big Baller Brand on Broadway for the night is definitely must-see television as this game will receive the national audience on ESPN. Lonzo Ball and the family will most likely be on hand for his first trip to Madison Square Garden during this December matchup giving every media person on hand plenty to cover.

The other interesting sub-plot in this story is the public discussions being revised regarding then-Knicks team president Phil Jackson. Jackson was rumored to be very interested in trading Porzingis for a top two pick in order to draft Ball. The trade never materialized and Jackson was gone a week later, leading to some speculation that Jackson could be in the building as well to support his former teams. It would be a very interesting and daring move for Jackson to return to the Garden and sit amongst the fans, but anything is possible.

Ball and his probably more famous father Lavar will likely have special tricks and stunts in store for this battle on Broadway. His brand will depend on him performing well on the big stage and once again the Knicks will need to defend home with a win to avoid being a prop in Lonzo’s highlight reel.
