The Los Angeles Clippers may have just been through an unpopular recent rebrand. However, the new jerseys appear to be a step in the right direction.

The Los Angeles Clippers have made quite a few rebranding efforts in recent years. Most of them have, to put it lightly, not been well-received. The new logo was instantly decried as one of the worst in the NBA.

Chuck the Condor is one of the perpetual laughingstocks of the mascot world–a world chock-full of laughingstocks. Given those recent missteps, the Clippers’ new jerseys appeared to be heading for more of the same.

However, the new uniforms released Friday surprised many fans by actually being quite solid. In fact, the Clippers’ new uniforms may be some of the nicest new duds among those in Nike’s new four-uniform set that will be rolled out next season:

These new uniforms are only two of the four that the Clippers will use next season. Each NBA team will have four different jersey options in 2017-18:

It is certainly interesting that the Clippers opted to use blue as their primary team color, given that their non-white jerseys were red last season. However, the team has incorporated the best of both worlds in their first two uniforms.

More from Hoops Habit

The white Association jersey comes with red and blue trim to represent the team’s other two colors. The Icon jerseys, on the other hand, replace the mediocre red jerseys with a much more unique dark blue uniform.

These new duds are not only a huge upgrade on the previous iterations but will also help the Clippers to stand out.

The Los Angeles Clippers have not replaced their much-derided logo with these new uniforms. However, they have gone from a set of mediocre uniforms to two new jerseys that are both unique and worthy of praise.

Next: Every team's Mount Rushmore

While fans will have to wait and see on the two remaining jersey options, the recently released images are certainly a step in the right direction.
