Unlike in previous years, the Orlando Magic went out and got some notable free agents this summer. Here are the top five.
For the Orlando Magic, now seemed as good a time as ever to try and turn their rebuilding phase into a push for the playoffs.
It was only eight years ago that the team were in the NBA Finals, and in the last five seasons they have finished at the bottom of their division.
The departure of Dwight Howard meant things got pretty bad very quickly, but multiple high lottery picks haven’t yielded a star player yet either.
Guys like Jeff Green have come and gone, and lottery picks such as Victor Oladipo haven’t stuck either, as the team has toiled near the bottom of the standings year after year.
The arrival of general manager John Hammond from the Milwaukee Bucks this summer signaled a shift in how the team is going to go about improving, and it started with some offseason signings.
