The NBA career of Chris Bosh was unfortunately cut short due to recurring blood clots. Bosh leaves the game as an 11-time All-Star and two-time NBA Champion.  He also helped change free agent culture forever.

The NBA career of Chris Bosh was unfortunately cut short due to medical issues stemming from blood clots in his body. Bosh began his career with the Toronto Raptors as the fourth pick in the illustrious and famed 2003 NBA Draft class. He was the face of the organization after Vince Carter departed and still holds many franchise records.

Bosh won a gold medal as a member of the 2008 USA national team dubbed the “Redeem Team.” In the summer of 2010, he would join together with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the Miami Heat. The Heat’s Big Three would eventually make four straight NBA Finals appearances and win back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013.

The impact that Chris Bosh had on the NBA and USA basketball during his career can still be seen today. When their Big Three wasn’t enough anymore, the Golden State Warriors upgraded to a “Big Four.” Meanwhile, USA basketball has continued the gold-medal streak at the last two Olympics. Here we take a look at three big takeaways from the career of Chris Bosh.
