With the Brooklyn Nets roster taking shape, general manager Sean Marks may be on the hunt for a big man to “complete” an impressive offseason.

As we close out a pretty eventful July in the NBA, there are still quite a few solid free agent options for teams to look at. However, with most of the cap money tied up from a wild offseason back in 2016, it will be interesting to see where some of these players land.

For the Brooklyn Nets, they recently announced that they’ve waived guard Archie Goodwin, who played most recently with the Nets in Summer League. Goodwin, who was seen as a high-energy slasher, couldn’t find his way in a now-crowded Brooklyn Nets backcourt.

So, with a little more room freed up (now $5.1 million when they renounce the rights to guard Randy Foye), the Nets will certainly look to add some size.

With only two players above 6’8″ on the team in Timofey Mozgov and rookie Jarrett Allen, general manager Sean Marks will now look to bolster his front line. With some solid options out there, the likes of Tyler Zeller (unrestricted free agent), Mason Plumlee (restricted free agent) and Kris Humphries (unrestricted free agent), Marks has some decisions to make as to how to round out his roster.
