Washington Wizards: A deep dive into John Wall’s emoji app
It seems like every star player has to work on expanding their brand and connecting with their fan base once they make it to the NBA. John Wall’s newest venture is his emoji app “Wallmoji.”
For one small payment of $1.99 at the Apple App store or GooglePlay store, the “Wallmoji” keyboard can be yours. With just a couple of simple settings changes, a plethora of John Wall animated faces, catch phrases and basketball glam shots can be used in dazzling conversation with whomever you deem fit.
But, has John Wall’s personally designed WallMoji app given us some insight into how his inner mind works? Maybe, that might be a stretch.
Either way, the best and most entertaining gameplan is to dissect the pictures, expressions and choices Wall has made to represent himself in one small mobile-sized keyboard.
1: John Wall LOVES dogs
The man just loves dogs. The keyboard contains five different emojis of dogs of all different breeds. The dogs are all similar colors, either black, grey or brown and all somewhat scruffy.
After doing some extensive research online, it turns out Wall does own five dogs. He created a WallMoji for all five of his dogs! The more alarming note is that a professional athlete with an incredibly busy schedule and traveling plans has decided to own five dogs. Seems irresponsible, John.
2: John Wall is proud of his Slam Dunk Contest victory
If there was one iconic dunk from John Wall’s 2014 Slam Dunk Contest victory, it was his reverse double-pump finish over the head of G-Wiz, the Washington Wizards‘ mascot. Including it as a Bitmoji only makes sense.
3: John Wall’s fashion game
John Wall wears black, and not much else. Aside from one WallMoji, every single picture of Wall on this keyboard is a picture of him in black. Sure, the man wears different colored undershirts, but he clearly prefers himself in the color black.
This makes a ton of sense if you think about the game in the regular season where the Washington Wizards wore all black suits against the Boston Celtics and called it a “Funeral Game.”
4: Seriously, John Wall is proud of his Slam Dunk Contest trophy
What are you trying to tell us Wall? That Slam Dunk Contest trophy must mean a lot to him.
5: The app even includes real pictures from when John Wall averaged over 39 minutes a game in the 2016-17 NBA Playoffs
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
