NBA: 5 teams who have decreased their stock over the summer
The NBA offseason has been full of surprises and blockbuster trades. Unfortunately for these five teams, they’ve been on the wrong end.
We are winding down the eventful time that is the NBA offseason. All of the big-name free agents are off the market. General managers have very little cap space remaining to do anything about those who are left. The days are dragging on, especially for the franchises that struck out this summer.
Getting better is easier said than done.
In a perfect world, everyone wants to improve. However, they are all fighting for the same limited assets. It’s inevitable that most will fall short of their goal.
We are about two and a half months away from the start of the regular season on Oct. 17 and some rosters have glaring holes remaining.
While some are creating their own super-teams, others are trying to wait out the Golden State Warriors‘ dynasty. That was never more obvious than some of the moves these teams made.
For other squads on this list, they were simply strapped with bad luck. Sometimes a player can only take so much before wanting out. In the end, you have no choice but to make a move before you lose your resources for nothing.
Whatever the case, these are five teams who decreased their stock since their last game.
