Most remember Terry Cummings from his time with the Milwaukee Bucks. He and Sidney Moncrief led Milwaukee to a significant measure of team success, including postseason victories over multiple legends of the 80s.

Cummings only spent two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, but he was prolific enough to make this list.

Cummings was brilliant as a rookie in 1982-83, averaging 23.7 points, 10.6 rebounds, 4.3 offensive rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game. That stellar campaign earned him the 1983 Rookie of the Year award.

A year later, Cummings was back with averages of 22.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.0 offensive boards, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Two seasons is a brief stretch of time, and thus, his elite statistics aren’t quite enough for him to be ranked higher. Los Angeles has experienced such fleeting team success, however, that an individual of his caliber can appear on this list.

Cummings brought excitement back to Clippers basketball for a two-year period of time, which can’t be understated when one considers how hard excitement has been to find.
