Loy Vaught was one of the longest tenured players in franchise history. During his eight years with the Los Angeles Clippers, Vaught produced consistently efficient numbers and became a fan favorite with the way he played the game.

Vaught may not have been an All-Star, but he produced a number of quality seasons during his eight-year stint with the Clippers.

Vaught currently ranks No. 4 in franchise history in games played (558) and No. 6 in minutes played (15,671). He also ranks No. 8 in points (6,614), No. 3 in rebounds (3,102), offensive rebounds (1,369), and defensive rebounds (3,102).

Vaught was also a valued contributor on three postseason teams, including the 1996-97 campaign, when he averaged 14.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

Vaught averaged a career-best 17.5 points per game in 1994-95, and a career-high 10.1 rebounds per game in 1995-96.. Between 1993 and 1997, he averaged 15.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 offensive boards, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 34.3 minutes per game on 51.7 percent shooting.

Beyond the numbers, Vaught was regarded as a leader on the court and a fascinating individual off of it. He was one of the Clippers’ best draft picks.
