5. Realizing his size on the court

It shouldn’t take much more than a look to realize that Jarrett Allen is quite lanky and athletic, though skinnier than most big men. With that being said, he is just 18 years old, so his body should fill out properly in the next couple years.

While his size proportions itself to a larger and more physical Allen, he needs to take advantage of his size difference sooner rather than later. He stands at 6’11” and has incredible jumping ability for his position and size.

According to ESPN‘s Sports Science, he has a max running vertical of 35.5 inches. To put this into perspective, that is roughly four and a half inches more than the average NBA center.

He also carries a max touch of over 12 feet, which is higher than any other player from the 2017 NBA Draft.

With that being said, Allen is bigger than most players on the court, and should find his way to a decent amount of blocks and rebounds in his rookie season.
