The Brooklyn Nets may have found their future starting center with picking arguably the best big man in the draft, Jarrett Allen with the 22nd pick overall during the 2017 NBA draft.

The Brooklyn Nets have had an interesting and productive offseason to say the least. Through a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, D’Angelo Russell represents a promising improvement to their backcourt. As far as the 2017 NBA Draft is concerned, the Nets sought their replacement for Brook Lopez in Jarrett Allen.

Allen was selected as the 22nd pick overall by the Brooklyn Nets during the 2017 NBA Draft. He very well could be the most promising big man they could have chosen, although he is a long-term project in some areas.

Jarrett Allen played for one year for a struggling Texas team in the Big 12 Conference in college. He played 33 games and scored an average of 13.4 points per game while grabbing 8.5 rebounds a night.

He has the physical tools and upside to really develop into a top-10 center in today’s league. However, that is not without saying he has long strides to go before that prediction can become a reality.

Here are five goals that will lead Jarrett Allen to success going into his rookie NBA season.
