4. Improvement on the perimeter

Kyle Kuzma proved to be a very efficient scorer in college, and this will be the blueprint to his success in the NBA. From the field he had a 50.6 field goal percentage but shot just 30.2 percent from the outside.

While his height gives him better looks on contested shots, he has two issues on the perimeter. First, he often struggles off of catch-and-shoot looks. He appears rushed on open shots and even more so with contested threes.

Secondly and on the contrary, his unselfish play may affect his three-point percentage. He had good vision at the college level and is willing to make the extra pass, but on some occasions, he does so when he has a great look on the outside.

On another note, on film he noticeably took shots from further behind the three-point arc as if he was practicing for the NBA level prematurely. This led to the tendency for him to often brick the front of the rim or worse, send up the occasional airball.

In a league where the three-pointer is becoming the focal point of the offense, it never hurts to improve and expand your range.
