3. Rasheed Wallace

In February 2004, Boston, Detroit, and Atlanta engineered a three-team trade that landed Rasheed Wallace in Detroit.

Wallace’s trade to the Pistons came at the end of his contract. The Pistons won the 2004 NBA championship and Wallace officially became a free agent later that summer. The Pistons wasted no time, signing Wallace to a five-year deal worth $75 million.

Wallace averaged 13.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game during the 2004 postseason. He helped them make six straight playoff appearances and ranks in the top 10 in franchise history in made three-pointers and blocked shots.
