3. Ball must become “The Man” in L.A.

Even though he is a rookie, Ball will be asked to take over a leadership role immediately. As the new face of the Lakers’ franchise, fans should expect to see Lonzo take over as “The Man” in L.A.

Ball will not be able to take that firm leadership role right off the bat, but by the end of the season he needs to find a way to be exactly what the face of a franchise needs to be.

There is no denying Ball’s talent and potential on the court. There is no denying that Ball has the ability to become one of the best players in the NBA. There is, however, a lot of pressure on Ball to make his teammates better and lead by example both on and off the floor.

Los Angeles needs another leader like Kobe Bryant was for the franchise. They need a player that will hold players accountable and that is what should be expected from the No. 2 overall pick. After watching him string up two triple-doubles in six Summer League games, there’s no question the talent is there.
