Players like Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle are core players to the fresh team. Lonzo Ball is set to become the face of the franchise and the Lakers acquiring Josh Hart is an additional key piece.
The Golden State Warriors are way ahead of the pack in the Western Conference, but the Lakers’ rebuild is for tomorrow, not today.
That very future is optimistic and predicated on the development of these young and fairly inexperienced players.
The Pacific Division is now slightly more troubled in dealing with the Warriors, as Chris Paul made his exit from the Los Angeles Clippers. The Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings are attempting to rebuild now as well.
It would not be surprising to see these young Lakers get on the same page and improve their previous seasons record in a weakened yet dominated division by the Warriors. Staying healthy is part of this, but a key focus for Hart’s rookie season should be developing a rapport with his similarly young teammates.
