5. Staying on the court

This may sound like overstating the obvious, but even the Los Angeles Lakers understand extra pressure may not be necessary.

It is not clear how severe the sprain is for Josh Hart, but either way the Lakers remain wise for benching the former Big East Player of the Year.

Nothing can slow a career down like being riddled with injuries in your rookie year, no matter how talented one may be. One relevant example is star Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers. Embiid’s career has constantly been hindered despite his very obvious talent.

Josh Hart was able to complete four years at Villanova without major injuries affecting his overall performance. He played 146 games and over 4,000 minutes over four years there. Consistency and staying injury free will be fundamental to his success moving forward.
