2. Jordan Bell: As advertised

Jordan Bell, the Warriors’ 2017 second round pick, was one of the standouts on the Summer League team. Bell was drafted by Golden State for his athleticism and his defensive abilities. He left the University of Oregon with the most blocks in school history despite playing only three seasons in Eugene. At 6’9” and 224 pounds, he is perfectly suited for the Dubs’ frontcourt.

The defensive versatility of Jordan Bell that captured the attention of the Warriors was on full display in Las Vegas. Bell was difficult to keep off the glass while also racking up steals and blocks on the defensive end. He even recorded a rare 5×5 line, showcasing the unique set of skills that he brings.

On the offensive end, Bell stuck to his strengths and stayed near the rim. He shoots a very high percentage and is an excellent finisher. Bell is able to use his athleticism to create second chance opportunities and finish with authority. He also knows how to run a proper pick-and-roll.

Jordan Bell appears to be ready to begin his NBA career. The competition will be much more difficult in the regular season along with the rigors of the NBA schedule. However, Bell could not have asked for a better organization to be drafted by than the Warriors. The structure and culture of the team will immediately benefit his overall development.
