Warriors reset record for best regular-season record

It already seemed unreal when, one season ago, the Warriors broke the Chicago Bulls’ record for the best regular season record. Most teams celebrate if they win 50 games in a year — Golden State secured 73 victories in 2015-16 before all was said and done.

With how good this team is right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they one-upped themselves in 2017-18. Yes, I’m talking about them building on that historic campaign by putting together an even better record this upcoming season. It seems almost impossible, but nothing is impossible with this much talent on one roster.

With Stephen Curry leading the charge, Kevin Durant being his superstar self and Klay Thompson still out there sniping on the wing, scoring won’t be an issue. What’s more is the Warriors managed to bring back their core, which seemed in danger during free agency. The re-signings of Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Zaza Pachulia will help Golden State stay on top.

In the end, though, it’ll be underrated offseason additions such as Bell and Nick Young that put this team over the top. We all know how dominant the Warriors’ starting lineup can be. However, it looks like the bench may have actually gotten better, which bodes well for their chances in 2017-18.

So what will their record be at season’s end? My prediction is 74-8. That’s just how good this team is, even with the Western Conference seemingly overflowing with star power.
