Who says 13 is bad luck?

On Jan. 12, Felicio started 2017 off right by scoring 13 points against the New York Knicks. He shot 6-of-9 from the field, while also grabbing five rebounds and one block. The Bulls may have lost 104-89, but the young buck showed out during his 24 minutes of play.

This would go on to be Felicio’s season-high, just three points shy of when he scored 16 during the 2015-16 season against the New Orleans Pelicans.

While on paper averaging 4.8 points and 4.7 rebounds a game in 15.8 minutes of play on the year may not seem that impressive, when looking at his impact on a game-by-game basis, it is clear the potential is there, which is exactly what his performance versus the Knicks proved.

In fact, after dominating against former Bulls star Derrick Rose, many people were campaigning for the big guy to take teammate Bobby Portis’ minutes.

As for what role Felicio will fill, come next season? That is still up in the air.

"“They haven’t told me anything yet,’’ Felicio told Chicago Sun-Times’ Joe Cowley. “But whatever they tell me my role is going to be, I’m going to try to do my best.’’"

His best may have only been 13 points, five rebounds and one block, but there is no doubt the hard-worker will only continue to develop moving forward.
