Andre Roberson: 3 years, $10 million (Oklahoma City Thunder)

Considering Andre Roberson turned down a four-year, $48 million extension before the season, not to mention how difficult restricted free agency can be with the market for wings drying up, the Oklahoma City Thunder did exceptionally well to lock down their defensive stalwart for a measly $10 million per season.

Roberson’s shooting flaws — a putrid 24.5 percent from three-point range and 42.3 percent from the foul line last year — make him a major liability on offense, but his defense is essential to a team that makes its living on that end of the floor. Roberson just earned Second Team All-Defensive honors and will create an imposing lockdown tandem on the wing with Paul George.

PG-13 and Patrick Patterson’s shooting should take some pressure off Roberson to knock down threes (except from the corners), and Roberson’s ability to defend positions 1-4 will spare George on the other end. Considering he’s only 25 years old and keeps a critical part of OKC’s 10th-ranked defense on the roster, Roberson’s discounted price tag continues the momentum of Sam Presti’s stellar summer.
