Andrew Bogut: 1 year, $2.3 million (Los Angeles Lakers)

Andrew Bogut on a veteran minimum deal is a score provided he can stay healthy, but it’s a bit odd a team like the Los Angeles Lakers is the one getting in on the action, even with the Luke Walton-Golden State Warriors connection.

Bogut is a crafty veteran who sets good screens and will provide the Lakers will a solid playmaker and rim protector when he’s on the floor, but with Ivica Zubac and Thomas Bryant fighting for minutes at the 5 behind Brook Lopez, bringing in another aging, injury-prone center to obstruct their playing time is a bit of a head-scratcher.

There’s a good chance Bogut’s body fails to hold up again, but if he takes serious minutes away from Zubac and Bryant in a season that should be as much about development as it is about impressing the 2018 free agency class, you can be guaranteed there will be plenty of Lakers fans upset over this signing.
