Anthony Tolliver: 1 year, $3.3 million (Detroit Pistons)

Anthony Tolliver, Reggie Bullock…for years now under Stan Van Gundy, the Detroit Pistons have been a team with role players who are far better fits on paper than in actuality, but it appears they’re fully embracing it in free agency this summer.

Tolliver, who averaged 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in his year and a half stint with Detroit from 2014-16, is a 32-year-old stretch-4 who’s played for nine different teams in his nine-year NBA career. He’s a career 36.2 percent shooter from distance, and he averaged 7.1 points per game on 39.1 percent shooting from downtown in 65 games for the Sacramento Kings last year.

Tolliver is a decent depth move, but he won’t get the Pistons more than 5-7 points per game on ~37 percent shooting from deep. This isn’t a signing to get particularly excited about in the wake of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s departure, but it’s a decent one considering the team’s cap situation.
