Marreese Speights: 1 year, $2.1 million (Orlando Magic)

It’s been a rough free agency market for centers this summer, as Marreese Speights’ veteran minimum deal with a team that’s already plenty stocked in the frontcourt further proves. For the Orlando Magic, this is solid value. For Speights, this has to be a disappointment.

Not only does Mo Buckets have to settle for another minimum contract after averaging 8.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in just 15.7 minutes per game and shooting 37.2 percent from downtown, but he has to do so with a team that already has Nikola Vucevic, Bismack Biyombo, Aaron Gordon and Jonathan Isaac in the frontcourt.

The Magic get a decent amount of depth, three-point shooting and entertainment with the addition of Speights, but he probably won’t be expected to do much in his one season in Orlando behind Vucci Mane and Biyombo.
