JaVale McGee: 1 year, $2.1 million (Golden State Warriors)

The Golden State Warriors didn’t need to do a single thing to ensure the best offseason of any team in the NBA after re-signing Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Zaza Pachulia and David West, not to mention adding Omri Casspi and Nick Young.

And yet, by re-signing JaVale McGee to a one-year deal (likely worth the veteran minimum of $2.1 million), the train keeps on rolling for the defending champs.

McGee was not an intrinsic part of the Dubs’ historic season and title run, but he averaged a respectable 6.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in just 9.6 minutes per game, shooting 65.2 percent from the field and injecting energy, offensive rebounds and high-flying alley-oops into the lineup whenever he entered the game. Forget Shaqtin’ A Fool. In the Bay Area, McGee has found a legitimate home.
