2. Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets are another team looking to aggressively court Otto Porter, or so it seems. During the NBA Draft, they traded away center Brook Lopez and the 27th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft to the Los Angeles Lakers for Timofey Mozgov and D’Angelo Russell.

The Nets took center Jarrett Allen out of Texas University with the 22nd pick in this year’s NBA Draft. They’ve got the youth that could intrigue Porter but Mozgov and Russell may not be solid fits with the club.

More from NBA

Mozgov still has three years left on his $64 million deal he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason. After winning an NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015-16, Mozgov cashed in on a lucrative deal with the Lakers as a free agent.

However, his time in Los Angeles was cut short after a ho-hum season, averaging 7.4 points and 4.9 rebounds in 54 games.

Russell’s time in Los Angeles was also cut short after just two seasons with the team. He produced on the court, but off-the-court, he had his fair share of issues in the locker room.

Porter is set to meet with the Nets to discuss things. Looking at the personnel they have, Porter is certainly an intriguing candidate on the wing.

Sources indicate that the Nets could offer him the same four-year deal that the Kings offered.
