3. Oklahoma City Thunder

In the playoffs, it became apparent that 2017 NBA MVP Russell Westbrook needed more help.  The Oklahoma City Thunder were particularly inept from the three-point line and Korver would be a drastic improvement in that area. Providing more offensive support for Westbrook is a primary objective this offseason, even after the coup that was the Paul George trade.

Depending on the size of the contract that he is seeking, Korver could take the veteran’s minimum contract and essentially replace Andre Roberson both personnel and salary cap-wise. He is a proven shooter and would be an upgrade over Doug McDermott on the wing. If Korver enjoyed playing with LeBron James, he would equally enjoy playing with Russell Westbrook.

Out of their players who average 20 minutes or more a game, the Thunder did not have a player shoot above 40 percent from the three-point line. Rebounding is another major need the Thunder must address. However, their more pressing need is providing floor-spacing for Russell Westbrook. Signing Kyle Korver after landing PG-13 would be a good start toward that goal.
