2. Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin is as talented as they come. Last season, he averaged 21.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per night. He is one of only seven players in the NBA to average that stat line. Boston will be calling Blake’s phone during free agency, and they should.

The question around Griffin isn’t if he can produce on the court, it’s whether or not he can stay on it. Blake has suffered a season-ending injury in two consecutive postseasons. Griffin also has a bad toe that could keep him sidelined until this coming December, according to ESPN‘s Michael Eaves.

Griffin would obviously make the Celtics a much better team. A big man duo of Griffin and Horford would be among the most versatile in the NBA, and Griffin can act as a No. 1 option if Isaiah Thomas is having an off night. It remains to be seen if Griffin can stay healthy, or if his body will continue to betray him.
