Boston Celtics: 5 potential free agency targets in 2017
4. Otto Porter Jr.
Although the Celtics have their eye on the Cavs in the East, the Washington Wizards should be on their radar as well. John Wall is just now entering his prime, and Otto Porter Jr. and Bradley Beal haven’t turned 25 years old yet.
Last season, Porter made a large step towards becoming a very good player in the NBA. He averaged career highs in points, rebounds and steals. He also finished fourth in the NBA in three-point shooting at 43.4 percent, which is very impressive in a league filled with snipers like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and J.J. Redick.
Porter would fit well with the Celtics at the small forward position. Otto has just turned 24 years old, and he could very well average 17-19 points per game during his prime years. He stands at 6’8″ with a 7’1″ wingspan, and he has all the tools to develop into a very good defensive player. His numbers will only improve from this point forward.
