Signing with the Philadelphia 76ers would make a great storybook ending for Iguodala’s career. Philadelphia is where he started his career in 2004. During his rookie season he was the only player to start all 82 games. Also on the team that season was a 29-year-old Allen Iverson, and a 31-year-old Chris Webber.

Iguodala spent eight seasons in Philadelphia, one with the Denver Nuggets, and the last four with the Golden State Warriors. 76ers fans would love a homecoming with the player who started 615 games for the franchise and can still play excellent basketball at 33 years old.

Additionally, the 76ers currently have a young core that has the potential to get over the hump soon. Iguodala is a great veteran leader that will mentor players like Markelle Fultz, Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Dario Saric.

He would lead by example and make sure that none of the young guys are slacking off on defense and off the court. In the spirit of a potential Philadelphia homecoming, the following video shows a top play from every one of Iguodala’s seasons in the NBA.
