Blake Griffin, PF, Los Angeles Clippers

While the Los Angeles Clippers are widely viewed as the front-runner to re-sign Blake Griffin this offseason, the Lakers should do everything they can to convince him to switch sides in L.A. Griffin would be exactly what the Lakers are looking for and would make them an ideal situation for a player like George next offseason.

Griffin averaged 21.6 points per game last season for the Clippers and also averaged 8.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists. He shot 49.3 percent from the field as well.

Signing Griffin would take some contract clearing, as the Lakers would have to free up enough room to offer a maximum contract. If they can make another deal or two to clear more space, Griffin would be a perfect pickup.

Don’t expect to see Griffin end up signing with the Lakers, but they should do everything in their power to clear enough room and submit an offer to him.
