8. Otto Porter Jr. — No. 3 pick in 2013 NBA Draft

Career stats (with the Wizards):  166 GP, 9.3 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 1.2 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 0.7 TOV
47.5 FG%, 24.1 3P%, 73.4 FT%

Otto Porter Jr. is becoming one of the popular names on the Washington Wizards next to John Wall and Bradley Beal of late. After spending two years at Georgetown University, Porter was selected as the third overall pick by the Wizards in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Porter didn’t have the greatest rookie season, either. He averaged just 2.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.2 steals in about 8.6 minutes per game. He played in just 37 games that season and shot 19 percent from three.

Since then, he’s developed into one of the better forwards in the NBA. This past season, Porter finished fourth in the league in three-point shooting percentage (43.4 percent). He averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks per game in 80 starts during the 2016-17 regular season.

Some of his production tapered off in the Washington Wizards’ recent run in the NBA Playoffs, but that’s okay for a young squad in need of bench depth.

Porter is primed for a breakout season in 2017-18 and due for a huge payday as a restricted free agent this offseason. His teammate, Bradley Beal, was recently re-signed to a contract worth $128 million last summer.
