Wes Unseld was the second overall pick by the Baltimore Bullets in the 1968 NBA Draft out of Louisville University. He earned the 1968-69 Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player award in the same year after, averaging 13.8 points and 18.2 rebounds in 36.2 minutes per game in his first season as a pro.

Unseld was a five-time All-Star in his time with the Baltimore/Capitol/Washington Bullets for 13 seasons (1968-81) after averaging 10.8 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He was an All-NBA and All-Rookie selection during the 1968-69 season.

He was also a member of the 1974-75 Washington Bullets squad that recorded the best record in franchise history (60-22). Unseld made 12 playoff appearances and four trips to the NBA Finals.

He averaged 10.6 points, 14.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 119 playoff games.

Unseld and the Bullets won the lone NBA title in franchise history in 1977-78, and he was awarded the NBA Finals MVP award as well. He was selected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1988.
