The name Kevin Willis is sprinkled throughout the franchise record books of the Atlanta Hawks.

The seven-footer spent 21 seasons in the NBA, including 11 with the Hawks where he ranked in the top-10 in team history in games played, points, rebounds, blocks.

Since the league began differentiating offensive and defensive rebounds in 1973-74, Willis ranks as Atlanta’s all-time leader in both categories. He grabbed 2,615 offensive rebounds and 4,717 defensive rebounds during his 753 games with the team.

For nine and a half seasons, Willis teamed with Dominique Wilkins to form one of the most potent forward combinations in the league. Wilkins dazzled with his aerial acrobatics, while Willis was remarkably efficient, converting 50.3 percent of his field goal attempts during his time in Atlanta.

Willis was at his best during the 1992-93 season, as he earned an selection to the Eastern Conference All-Star team and was named to the All-NBA Second Team while totaling a career-high 15.5 rebounds per game to go with 18.3 points and 2.1 assists per game.
