10. Doc Rivers (PG) — No. 31 pick in 1983 NBA Draft

Career stats (with the Hawks):  568 GP, 13 PPG, 6.8 APG, 3.5 RPG, 2.1 SPG, 45.5 FG%, 32.5 3P%, 78.2 FT%

No Atlanta Hawks player was better at creating scoring opportunities for teammates than Doc Rivers.

During his eight years with the team after being selected with the seventh pick in the second round, Rivers totaled 500 or more assists on three occasions.

After becoming the only player in franchise history to average 10 or more assists per game during the 1986-87 campaign, Rivers secured an All-Star selection the following year by averaging 14.2 points, 9.3 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

Rivers is the Hawks’ all-time leader in assists, as he dished out 3,866 in his time with the organization, while also ranking third in steals at 1,166.

In each of his first 10 years in the NBA, Rivers recorded 100 or more steals, one of just 25 players ever to achieve the feat.
