2. Wesley Iwundu, SF, Kansas State

Wesley Iwundu’s draft stock is all over the place. Projected as high as No. 28 on NBADraft.net or No. 34 on The Ringer and as low as No. 55 on Draft Express, it’s anyone’s guess where the Kansas State wing will end up in the draft.

If he’s still on the board at the end of the second round, however, a Suns team that might still need wing depth would have to consider a player they worked out alongside Devin Robinson.

In his senior season for the Wildcats, the 6’7″ Iwundu averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 48.1 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from three-point range on 2.4 attempts per game.

With an impressive 7’1″ wingspan, Iwundu is a prime 3-and-D candidate who could still be available in the second round. He’s one of the best defenders of this bunch because of his ability to guard multiple positions and his lateral speed, and he could become an underrated secondary playmaker as well.

He’ll need to add some bulk and continue to fine-tune his shot. The fact that he’s 22 (like most of these options at No. 54) is also a potential minus, but for a young team like the Suns, a little more experience could be useful that late in the second round. The good news is, he’s already used to wearing purple.
