4. Dillon Brooks, SF, Oregon

Dillon Brooks might not have the most NBA upside, but he was hands down one of the best college players in the country last season for the Oregon Ducks, averaging 16.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game on 48.8 percent shooting from the field and 40.1 percent from three-point range (on 4.1 attempts per game).

The reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year may already be 21 years old, but time and time again he stepped up in the clutch for a team that went to the Final Four. He hit game-winning shots against Tennessee, UCLA and California, and he also scored Oregon’s final 12 points in a one-point win over Arizona State.

Brooks plays with some serious competitive fire, which occasionally got him into trouble both with officials and his own personal performance, but the Suns are quite the snappy little group as it is anyway.

If his improved three-point shooting translates to the next level, Brooks might have the strength to hold his own at the next level — especially with that fiery persona that makes it hard to doubt his ability to latch on somewhere in the league.

However, his status as a tweener is somewhat concerning, since he may not have the lateral quickness to guard 3s or the size to guard 4s. He’s also projected by most mocks to go somewhere in the middle of the second round — making him a reach at No. 32 but potentially off the board by the time No. 54 rolls around.
