With the 54th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns will have plenty of options in the second round. Here are their five best options.

On June 22, the Phoenix Suns have a great opportunity to add to their young core with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Assuming they don’t trade up or down in the draft, the Suns will have their choice of whoever’s left between Josh Jackson, Jayson Tatum, Jonathan Isaac, De’Aaron Fox and maybe even Lonzo Ball.

In one of the more talented NBA Draft classes since the legendary 2003 group, the Suns will also have an opportunity to add a future rotation player with the 32nd overall pick near the start of the second round.

The question is, will general manager Ryan McDonough look to find more wing depth there if the Suns land a new franchise point guard at No. 4? Will he seek frontcourt insurance with both Alex Len and Alan Williams being restricted free agents this summer? Or will he opt for a draft-and-stash product since the team already has tons of youth on its roster?

More than likely, Phoenix will use its two second-rounders on a draft-and-stash product, along with either selecting a high character flier or simply trading the pick away.

But in the event the Suns land a star at No. 4 and use No. 32 for a draft-and-stash guy, adding a little wing depth in a draft offering plenty of 3-and-D prospects is never a bad idea. Bearing all this in mind, here’s a look at five potential options for the Phoenix Suns at No. 54, assuming they keep the pick.

Honorable Mentions

  • Josh Hart:  Worked out for the Suns and seems to be everyone’s favorite second round steal for his NCAA championship experience and versatile play, but will likely be gone by No. 54.
  • Jaron Blossomgame:  An intriguing combo forward whose inability to shoot could limit his ceiling.
  • Andrew White:  An old, 24-year-old prospect who worked out for the Suns and would be drafted for his shooting above all else.
  • Davon Reed:  Another Suns draft workout participant with a limited game outside his shooting ability and long wingspan for the defensive end.
