The organization can probably also say goodbye to Dwyane Wade

As of now, Wade has not committed to another year in Chicago. But given that a second season with the Bulls would come with a near $24 million price tag, most people believe he will indeed return.

However, that probably all changes if Butler is no longer around.

With Butler having been the one to recruit Wade in the first place, the two quickly formed a close bond both on and off of the court. Both having made it clear that they would like to continue playing together.

Meaning the 35-year-old star has much less reason to play out the second year of his contract if Jimmy Buckets is traded away.

Some may argue that this would be a good thing for Chicago, with $24 million eating up a substantial amount of the organization’s salary cap. But on the other hand, it does not necessarily look great for a player of his caliber to not want to be a part of the team for a year.

Not to mention playing alongside such a talented veteran is a huge draw for the likes of free agents.
