On the latest Timeout with Ti podcast, Ti Windisch and James Holas broke down a pair of playoff series and answered NBA mailbag questions.

Timeout with Ti is back once again! After gathering great NBA mailbag questions for about a week, it was finally time to record a mailbag podcast with my guy James Holas, also known as Snottie Drippen.

Before we got to all of the good mailbag questions fans sent to the official Timeout with Ti Twitter account (follow it!), James and I decided to talk about a few battles going on in the NBA Playoffs.

First up, we had to break down the surprisingly fun series between the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs. As I said just a few days ago on Timeout with Ti, I went into that series expecting it to take at most five games for the Spurs to win out.

After San Antonio went up 2-0, the Grizzlies have responded. Memphis won the last two games behind some great performances by both Mike Conley and Marc Gasol.

Despite Memphis winning, I had to gush about how damn good Kawhi Leonard has been as well.

More from NBA

After discussing that series, James and I talked about the sadness surrounding the matchup between the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers. This should’ve been one of the most fun series in the first round this postseason.

Unfortunately, injuries have derailed that. Rudy Gobert got hurt literally seconds into Game 1, and his return is still in question. Then, more recently, Blake Griffin hurt his toe and was ruled out for the rest of the postseason.

Whoever wins will likely get blown out by the Golden State Warriors in the next round, especially if these teams can’t get healthy. Both the Jazz and the Clippers have big decisions to make this summer, and their series against each other might provide answers to questions they’ll face.

After talking about those series, James and I spent a while answering mailbag questions. There were a lot of fun topics covered, including trial by combat and the heir apparent to LeBron James.

You can find Timeout with Ti here at Hoops Habit regularly, in addition to its other homes on iTunes and Stitcher for those of you NBA fans on the go.

Go check out James some more, both on Twitter and over at BBallBreakdown.

Also, make sure to check out the dope music Joey Burbs makes. Joey is cool enough to provide both the intro and outro music for Timeout with Ti. He’s a good follow on Twitter, as well.
