Rudy Gobert has followed the best scoring performance of his career in remarkable scoring form. Fresh off of scoring 35 points against the New York Knicks, he’s taken the positive momentum and turned it into a superstar-caliber stretch of basketball.
Already the most dominant and influential defensive player in the NBA, Gobert seems to be finding his range on the offensive end, as well.
Gobert began this past week by putting up 26 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks against DeAndre Jordan and the Los Angeles Clippers. He followed with 20 points, 19 rebounds, and five blocks against DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, and the New Orleans Pelicans.
With a combined 46 points, 33 rebounds, and seven blocks in two games against three All-NBA big men, Gobert made quite the statement.
In his final performance of the week, Gobert picked up 16 points and 15 rebounds in a 112-82 blowout of the Sacramento Kings. It was his fifth consecutive game with at least 16 points and 14 rebounds, as well as his sixth in seven outings.
For what it’s worth, Gobert is averaging 18.6 points, 14.8 rebounds, 5.3 offensive rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 3.1 blocks on a slash line of .718/.000/.608 over his past 12 appearances.
