Karl-Anthony Towns is appearing in the Top 20 of the Player Power Rankings for a third consecutive week. The Minnesota Timberwolves star has been producing at a star-caliber level all season, but he’s turned it up to another level in recent weeks.

By leading his team to victories over the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards, Towns effectively solidified his Top 20 ranking.

Towns stepped up with 23 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks on 10-of-18 shooting during a stunning 103-102 upset of the Warriors. A game later, he poured in 35 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks on 14-of-21 shooting against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Though Minnesota lost to Milwaukee, it rebounded with a 119-104 win over Washington behind Towns’ 39 points and 13 rebounds on 17-of-27 shooting.

Towns finished the week with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists during a loss to the Boston Celtics. The fact that a 17 and 14 game was a drop-off for Towns is a testament to the phenomenal player he’s becoming.

At 21 years of age, Towns is already one of the Top 25 players in the NBA and one of the Top 20 active players in 2016-17.
