First and foremost, Happy Belated Birthday to Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. The two-time MVP turned 29 years of age on Tuesday, Mar. 14—and, shortly thereafter, Ray Allen called him the best shooter he’s ever seen.

On his birthday, Curry ended the Warriors’ three-game losing streak and helped restore his team’s status as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

Golden State lost 99-86 to the Boston Celtics, 103-102 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and 107-85 to the San Antonio Spurs. Curry may have been resting against San Antonio, but he was present for the losses to Boston and Minnesota.

Fortunately, he bounced back with 29 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals during a 106-104 escape of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Golden State will need to improve its overall level of execution in order for Curry to rise up the rankings. It would be irrational to write the Warriors off, however, even if it has become evident that Kevin Durant is the team MVP.

Curry is a two-time league MVP and one of the greatest scorers in league history. At 29 years of age, he’s on pace for another All-NBA season.
