Top Four Point Guards

  1. Goran Dragic ($7,700) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
  2. Ricky Rubio ($7,600) vs. Miami Heat
  3. D’Angelo Russell ($6,100) vs. Milwaukee Bucks
  4. Tyler Ulis ($5,400) vs. Orlando Magic

Rationale:

  • A swollen right eye wasn’t enough to slow down Goran Dragic Wednesday night against New Orleans. After sitting out the previous game against the Pacers following a collision with Toronto guard Cory Joseph‘s elbow, Dragic seemingly couldn’t miss against the Pelicans. Dragic totaled 33 points (one shy of matching a season-high) on 11-of-18 shooting, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, to go with five rebounds, two assists, a steal anda  block despite his right eye being swollen shut. Since the calendar flipped to 2017, Dragic has posted 21.7 points, 5.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 51.8 percent from the field and 44.5 percent from 3-point range.
  • Perhaps Minnesota should have included Ricky Rubio in trade rumors earlier in the year. Ever since the trade deadline, Rubio has been one of the most potent point guard options in FanDuel NBA league play, averaging 15.7 points, 11.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game over his last 10 appearances. The 26-year-old has been shooting the ball extremely effectively over his last three games, averaging 22.3 points on 58.1 percent shooting, while managing to dish out a career-high 19 assists Monday against Washington.
