Paul Millsap has gone from one of the most underrated players in the NBA to a coaches’ favorite at the All-Star Game. He’s a respected leader, a versatile defender, and a well-rounded offensive player who can do a bit of everything.
In the midst of yet another sensational season with the Atlanta Hawks, Millsap has been honored with his fourth career All-Star Game appearance.
Millsap has the Hawks sitting eight games above .500 with yet another campaign of well-rounded execution. He’s No. 9 in the NBA in Real Plus-Minus, as well as No. 4 in the Association in Defensive Real Plus-Minus.
This past week, Millsap further established himself as one of the best players in the Eastern Conference with a slew of tremendous performances.
Millsap needed just 24 minutes to post 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal in a blowout of the Chicago Bulls. He followed with 22 points and 10 rebounds on 9-of-14 shooting against the Philadelphia 76ers, and tallied 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting in another win over Chicago.
After years of being under-appreciated, Millsap has earned his fourth career All-Star Game appearance in 2016-17.
