12. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

2016-17 Slash Line: .529/.281/.789
2016-17 Season Averages: 35.0 MPG, 23.5 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 2.1 ORPG, 5.4 APG, 2.0 BPG, 1.8 SPG, 0.7 3PM

One could make a case that Milwaukee Bucks phenom Giannis Antetokounmpo is the most valuable player in the NBA. That doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll win the award, especially as Milwaukee struggles to climb back to .500.

One simply can’t help but acknowledge the fact that Antetokounmpo is the only player in the NBA who leads their team in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals per game.

Milwaukee went 1-3 this past week, but its lone win enabled Antetokounmpo to remain in the Top 10. He poured in 31 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four blocks, one steal, and two 3-point field goals on 11-of-17 shooting.

Considering those numbers were recorded during a 127-114 win over James Harden and the Houston Rockets, it would be tough to justify Antetokounmpo dropping further than this.

Antetokounmpo is sliding down the rankings due to his team’s underwhelming performances, but he’s a legitimate star. He was named an All-Star starter and deserved that recognition for the season he’s putting forth.

At 22 years of age, Antetokounmpo is already one of the premier players in a deep era of NBA basketball.
